We always endeavour to make scaffolding that is strong, durable and, above all else, safe for people to work on. With many historic properties in the St Neots, it takes good scaffolding and a good team to construct it, avoiding any damage to the property in the process. St Neots has been a prominent town in the ancient county of Cambridgeshire since the 12th century, when it became a place of pilgrimage and was granted a market charter. However, in 2012 it was discovered that the town has actually been around for far longer than that. Archeological excavations at the new town centre development unearthed items from the prehistoric Mesolithic era, all the way up to Roman and Early Middle Saxon times.
Prior to this, archeologists uncovered significant remains of an Iron Age settlement of round houses during eastern town excavations. It was then discovered that the town had been a human settlement for an amazing 3,000 years.
The town today is a beautiful mixture of Medieval, Tudor, Victorian, and contemporary architecture, each contributing to the town’s historic and aesthetically pleasing character.
With a train station, easy access by road and myriad cycle paths, the town of St Neots is an attractive destination for tourists and visitors, especially during the spring and summer months. This being the case, the people of St Neots are always looking to keep their stunning architecture looking its best and brightest. This is where Cambridge Scaffolding is always happy to help.
